What checklists are for

Checklists are private to-do lists: travel packing, documents to gather before a trip, baby shopping ideas, or recurring reminders. They help you prepare without turning the journey into project-management overhead.

Checklists vs Costs

Checklists are for tasks and light estimates. Costs is your formal budget ledger with quotes, payments, and currencies. A checklist item like buy travel adapter does not belong in Costs unless it becomes a tracked payment.

Some checklists support rough cost estimates for planning; those figures do not automatically sync to the Costs module.

Usage tips

  • Create a checklist when a phase starts (pre-transfer trip, third trimester, post-birth travel).
  • Check items off as you go; incomplete items stay visible as gentle reminders.
  • Reuse templates when MySurrogacy offers them, or duplicate your own lists for a second child track.

Do checklist estimates affect Costs totals?
No. Formal tracking belongs in the Costs module.
